Kathleen Cope, intern

Kathleen Cope is a graduate student at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology, pursuing her Masters in Counseling Psychology with a Concentration in Trauma and Abuse. Kathleen is certified in Trauma-Informed Narrative Focused Care from The Allender Center.

Prior to graduate school Kathleen served with the Latin American Mission board in Mexico, Compassion International, and later as a home educator. Kathleen loves working with groups and individuals across different cultures and backgrounds. Kathleen’s life experience and genuine care for people fuel her passion to engage with individuals and their trauma stories through a mind-body connection, while being deeply rooted in her faith. Through deep listening and attunement, she invites healing and transformation by offering her clients choice, agency, and safety. Kathleen integrates different therapeutic approaches to meet clients where they are to foster personal growth.

Kathleen works with individuals experiencing relational challenges, life transitions, anxiety, depression, abandonment issues, trauma, and grief. Kathleen is passionate about working with individuals who feel stuck, helping them discover freedom in the choices available to them within the context of their relationships and communities.

Kathleen loves coffee, writing, hot yoga, hiking in the mountains with her husband, cheering on her four children in their sports, and walking on trails with a friend.

Kathleen will be available starting September 3 and will be seeing clients on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  She would love to connect with you.

You can schedule an appointment with her by emailing her at kcope@citycentercounseling.org.
